loom crazy!
i don't know how i happened upon it... probably wandering through blogs, or something. but i found this very cute little loom that people were weaving on (2" weavette), did some research on it, and it is a vintage style and only a few people make them now, pretty easy to make yourself but... i am hooked! hubby made me a few... and a few extra to sell for those who'd like one, via my etsy store.
hope to post some cool fibery creations in the next week, from this little loom that i've fallen for! ;)

Trying these little looms out for first time. Thanks for sharing ..never thought of using fabric as the set gauge is sort of small.
ReplyDeleteDoes hubby still make the larger looms?

My background is sewing, knitting and crochet...recently got a few of these looms to try as I like the look & feel of woven product. Never thought of using fabric as the pin set is kinda close in the Weave It. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteIs hubby still making looms? Interested in a 6 or 7 inch.

hi barb515. thx for the words on my loom creations. yes, i tear a very thin strip of fabric and weave it very loosely on the loom, then needle away... ;) regarding the looms, i am sorry to say that hubby for now, is on a break from making looms. xo
ReplyDeleteOh I have one of these, it is very small but the authentic vintage one. Came complete with directions in a lot box from an estate auction. I might have to go and dig it out now that I've seen this post!
ReplyDeleteoh crystal! go dig it up!! it's wonderful!! ;) oxox
