the jist of the carolers ....

here is my official tutorial on how to make my fiber art carolers:

stitch some multi-colored fabric strips to a piece of rectangular felt (i used recycled silk).

then roll the rectangle into a tube and using a chenille needle sew it together, then sew divets into it, creating it to pucker here and there. (leave the base wider than the top.)

glue the base to a round, painted cardboard for standing support.

take a round wooden bead and draw a face onto it. glue or sew it to the top of the "tube". tie a stiff piece of cotton string around the base of the wood bead, for the arms. add some scrap yarn for the hair/hat and some white yarn to the base for the snow.

and voila! ;) enjoy your little singing caroler! ;)
