the climb.

this summer has been a "rock climbing" summer for our family. some of the littles and my "hubb" have been doing it for a couple months and i just started my beginner class this past week. i'm initially afraid of heights but this was exhilarating. if you liked climbing trees when you were a kid, and maybe still do, try this. totally new kind of climbing but wow... now check this out for some major inspiration:

"Amazing climber that has about a 40-60 foot fall. This is actually Didier Berthod (climbing guru from Swizterland) trying to make the first free ascent of Squamish's Cobra crack (5.14) in BC Canada in 2005. Many have tried but until June 2006, nobody had been successful. Didier was going to try again in 2006 to be the first, but had a knee injury on climb day which left it up to Sonnie Trotter who actually completed the first ever free ascent of what is arguably the most difficult crack in the world."

day 10 of my 100.

  1. so you might be alarmed that i posted a "falling" climbing video... but you have to understand my "grasp" on this whole climbing adventure... i have a small fear of heights and mostly b/c of the fear of falling...but when harnessed into your rope - you will fall but you won't. that is inspiring to me. you can then grab on again and climb back up....
