chalk bag frenzy...
this is what you get when you pair a fiber artist with a rock climbing sport.
a chalk bag is a small bag that you clip onto your harness or around your waist to dip your hands into for chalking-up - which give your hands a better grip.
i've made close to 15 chalk bags - tho, not all are pictured. the monster chalk bags were made for my boys, who like to climb too.
methods experimented with: recycled fabric, sewing, crocheting, wet felting.
this first picture is the evolution of my designing. the first bag i made my hubby was very rough and thrown together but as i got into the sport, i understood more and looked closer at others chalk bags. :)

These are great! Take an ordinary item with a specialized purpose, add one fiber artist, and voila!... chalk bags with personality and artistic character.
