tea.time.
if you're going to have a tea.embroidery party - it helps to have someone who collects beautiful teapots!
alas - i forgot to take a picture of all of them.
it also helps if you are not much of a baker - to have a friend who loves baking to whip up all the treats -
i barely got one picture of these, as well.
so now that you know beforehand my failings in this documentation of me and my friend Allison's tea.embroidery party - you are free to enjoy the things that i did manage to capture.
we had 28 lovely folk.
i made sweet LOVE pincushions for all of them - with a needle to act as cupid's striking arrow.
one friend (who is great at hosting tea parties) suggested sprinkling mm's all over the tables - genius, right?! we had beautiful, tiny bouquets of roses at each table with mason jar bouquets of embroidery floss. i had one table set aside for all the other supplies - print outs and iron-ons of sweet little images from HERE and HERE, carbon paper and knitting needles to trace the images with, as well as pre-cut squares of fabrics in different colors.
after some bites of sweet treats and sips of tea - the dolls were ready to stitch! (i failed to take any closeup shots! forgive me.) they had a blast! a few of them hadn't done it since they were little girls in school. ahh. to be young again.
my dear, sweet 7yo - who helped me and some of the littlest stitchers, accidently touched the iron (again a failing on my part of forgetting to warn her not to touch the iron!) and later at home when the blister began to emerge - we saw it start out as a heart-shape. ?!?! her thumb is better now! whew!!
xoxo
wow..looks like a great time was had by all!I hope your little one is better! You know, when I first saw the picture, the blister looked like a heart!I thought it was painted on!Love!
