spring chicken flower pots.

i dreamed up these wee hanging flower pots a few weeks back when i was so ready for flowers and foliage to emerge!  and finally it all came together.  i call them .spring chicken flower pots.

you will need:

chicken wire - or something similar
wire cutters
coconut fiber
potting soil
potted plants
sisal or twine of some sort
sense of humor

cut the chicken wire into a rectangular shape. then shape it into a bowl by folding it almost in half and wrapping the cut edges together and just rolling them into themselves.  you are not aiming for perfection here - remember it is chicken wire!  just get a rounded, bowl shape for the coconut fibers to be held in - and be sure to tuck in any sharp points!

stuff the wire baskets with coconut fiber, then soil, and plant.

tie your sisal or twine to three sides of the baskets.

water them, hang them up, and enjoy!!
