a fusion..
inspired by my love of airplants and artist alisa burke's clay ornaments... a fusion of sorts.. emerged..
using airdry clay, i kneaded into form a flat oblong shape, then pressed it into a rubber stamp (for these i used Alisa Burke's flower and cityscape stamps.. then rolled it to form a free-form vase sculpture and pressed it downward to make the base. let this airdry for a few days. then take red acrylic paint and paint it all over and especially in the crevices, then wipe off with a damp cloth. let dry a bit longer. ta-da. a fun, unique sculpture for your sweet little airplant.
