SG Halo Challenge

I have been running a December/Advent Challenge on my Instagram account. Though there have been issues posting with outages. So will be updating daily prompts here as well! Play along if you'd like and tag your progress #sghalochallenge . My #thehalopouch project bag sewing pattern is currently on sale through December 25 at 50% off. It is very easy and a sweet make for yourself or others.

Here are the prompts so far:

Day 1 - cut out your pattern. keep the outer fabrics in a light plain color.

Day 2 - Soak your plain outer fabrics in tea for the day.

Day 3 - Dry your tea-stained fabrics then using a pencil, sketch some botanical images onto the outer fabrics.

Day 4 - Add a little watercolor to your botanic images, or marker if you don't have watercolors. Iron it afterwards to heat-set it.

Day 5 - Take a permanent pen and make small marks in various places on your outer fabrics.

Day 6 - Using pencil, write some blessings, words of encouragement, prayers to the wrong sides of your outer fabrics. Known only to you.

Day 7 - Hand stitch 3 straight lines to the bottom area of your outer fabrics.

Day 8 - Add some cross stitches to the previous day's lines.

Day 9 - Add some vertical stitches. A lot or a little.

Day 10 - Add some pretty little buttons. Alot or a little.

Day 11 - Add some satin or straight stitches to your botanic images.
